The company

Five tikis, two docks, one captain each

Cruisin' Tikis Key West has run since 2018 and is a Key West Chamber member. The boats are hand-built in the US to Coast Guard standards: a round thatched-roof bar on a pontoon hull with a 30-horsepower outboard, six chairs and a wet bar. Every cruise has a licensed captain; the Coast Guard caps each tiki at six guests.

Two regular docks. Mac's Place on North Roosevelt runs the sunset, seaport and swim-stop cruises; Schooner Wharf in the Historic Seaport runs the shorter Makai cruises. Both take public bookings by the seat or the whole tiki as a private.

Before you go

Know before you go

Where to board

Mac's Place dock, 1605 N Roosevelt Blvd, or Schooner Wharf, 202 William St. Your confirmation says which. Arrive 15 minutes early; waivers are signed at the dock.

Parking

Mac's Place: free street parking on Truman Avenue by Bayview Park or on Eisenhower Drive. Schooner Wharf: the paid Historic Seaport lot.

Bring

Your own drinks, food and playlist. Coolers, ice, water, sodas and cups are aboard; the stereo takes Bluetooth. Pool noodles on swim-stop cruises.

Kids and capacity

Six guests per tiki including children. Under-12s wear a life jacket. There is no restroom aboard.

Reviews

What guests say

Reviewers talk about the captain more than the boat, name them, and come back for the sunset timing and the bring-your-own format. The honest caveat in reviews: the swim stop is shallow water off the flats, not a scenic sandbar.
