2026 Conch Shell Awards nomineeSix divers, not thirty. A divemaster in the water on every dive, and dives that run to your air and no-decompression limit rather than a clock. Reef, wrecks, the Vandenberg, spearfishing, night dives, and a gyro-stabilized boat for the Dry Tortugas.

The company
Robert Trosset III started Finz in 2011 because Key West diving meant big boats and fixed schedules, and he wanted the small-boat, personal experience of diving on a small island. Rives Millwater, a captain with 25 years of diving out of the Outer Banks, is co-owner. The boats are six-packs, every trip carries a divemaster who gets in the water, and the team page names every captain and instructor.
Two boats: Finz Freeman and Park Shark, a 35-foot Razorhead with a Dometic gyro stabilizer, an air-conditioned cabin, a full head and a bow ramp for landing on Loggerhead Key in the Tortugas. Finz is a NOAA Blue Star operator and a Tripadvisor Travelers' Choice 2026 pick, ranked #18 of 397 in Key West.
