The company
Fury started in 1994. Scott Saunders, who had Fury as a client in the early nineties, bought it in 2004 when the previous owners asked, and grew it from a staff of 12 to around 200. The fleet as reported in 2019: twelve catamarans, eight parasail boats, nine rental boats, sixty jet skis and a glass-bottom boat. Fury builds its own cats, about fourteen months each.
It is a NOAA Blue Star snorkel operator and a founding member of Dolphin SMART, and has won the Keys' Bubba Award for best watersports company more than ten times. Reviews are what you would expect at this scale: crews get praised, add-on pricing and reef conditions get the complaints.
“Florida's only certified ocean water park.”
Owner since 2004
Captains and mates are named by guests in reviews (Lisa, Nicole, Steve, Ali, Cobb and many more); with a staff this size the roster is Fury's to give.
The one to book
Check in at 9, leave at 10 on a 65-foot catamaran from the Historic Seaport, and spend six and a half hours doing all of it: reef snorkel, a parasail flight, a jet ski turn, the banana boat and a 3,500-square-foot inflatable water park anchored offshore. Snacks, fruit and veggies aboard, soft drinks, and beer and wine once the activities are done.
Adults $143, kids 4 to 10 $113, under 4 free; minimum age 4. A 3.5-hour half-day version skips the snorkel.
