The company

Four boats named Gulfstream since 1947

Capt. Tommy Lones started Gulfstream Charters in 1947. The 1956 great white that weighed 2,300 pounds and the 1957 haul of nineteen Goliath groupers are still on the wall. The current boat is Gulfstream IV, carrying 40 anglers on the public trips and 45 on private charters, USCG-inspected twice a year.

Capt. Jamie Snediker-Druckemiller, a 100-ton master who mated on party boats in Freeport, New York, has owned it since 2007, which makes it one of the few women-owned charter boats in the Keys. She was president of the Key West Charter Boat Association and is now its vice president. The crew page names the captains and mates, which is rare for a party boat.

“The longest running party boat in Key West.”

Reviewers write about mates who bait hooks and untangle lines for kids and steady snapper action on the reef. The recurring complaints on a boat this size: gear that shows its age and mates spread thin on full days.
