The company
The islands most visitors only see from the highway
Up The Keys started in March 2016 as a family-run eco-tour outfit with an idea nobody else in Key West had turned into a business: put people in a van and drive them up the Lower Keys to the places a rental car and a map rarely find. Bahia Honda's beach, the Key Deer on Big Pine, the Blue Hole, the old and new 7 Mile Bridges, with park fees in the ticket.
Tours are capped at 12 and leave from wherever you are staying. Troy, the owner, leads most days; reviewers write about his commentary as often as the deer. Private day tours run the other direction too, meeting guests in Key Largo, Marathon or Miami and delivering them to Key West with stops on the way.

The Up The Keys Nature Tour
Four hours, all ages, pickup at your door. North over the bridges to Big Pine Key for the Key deer and the Blue Hole, on to Bahia Honda State Park for the beach and the old railroad bridge, and the 7 Mile Bridge from both sides. Park fees are included; the guide does the rest.
Adults $119, kids 12 and under $35. Two-passenger minimum, twelve maximum.
